Game 26 - Virginia Tech vs. Illinois 2007

 This game was in a lot of ways what the 5-12 game has become.  An all out brawl between two programs both looking to prove themselves.  Illinois hadn't lost in the first round in any of their previous nine Tournament.  Virginia Tech entered the game as the higher seed despite having not won a Tournament game in 11 years.  Tech came back from a 13 point deficit with a little more than eight minutes remaining, and earned a hard fought 54-52 victory, ending both streaks.
